He ate the whistle, nearly choked on it and stumbled after her. A brief glance was given over his shoulder at the patronus combo having it out with the dementor. Quite impressive really. A grin took hold, even as they ran away from the coldness and back into milder air. "Quite the lunge you've got there, Miss Cambridge."
Though, admittedly running from a dementor was more of a saving grace than running from pixies.
Once they were a good distance away, and a few more turns lost, Rhydian slowed them to a walk, giving his partner a once-over. "You alright?"
Not gonna stop just yet, had to put as much distance between them and the creature as possible. Hopefully someone else would run into it and pull it further off their tail. No offense or anything but when it came to Dementors it was ALWAYS better the next guy than her. She still had a life to live and there was no telling what kind of life the other guy was living anyway. Plainly she was a safe bet.
For now Lex, chose to ignore his comment, taking corners blindly, choosing paths without really thinking about them until she could swear they were going in circles. Only thing to prove her right would be running into her patronus and the dementor again but that didn't happen and soon she could feel herself being drawn into a walk.
Funny how you never really notice the need for air until after the fact.
"I'm fine." Alexa glanced behind them, ignoring the fact that if in truth it had followed they would be able to
feel it.
"Saw my former Groundskeeper get his soul sucked. Don't reckon I wanted either of us to be next." The thing about that was, no matter how much she'd told the man to get up, insisted he shake it off, he never did. He never did anything again and she had WAY too much to do to have that happen.
"Should be fine now, if you don't count the fact that we're possibly more lost than even the organizers of this thing intended us to be."
