"Amethyst and I are having a kid," he said a bit faster than he intended but at least it was out. Really he had no issues with having a kid. He was excited about it but he was a bit nervous about the fact that they weren't married. But...that didn't matter really so much he wanted to be with her and would at some point when he was sure she wouldn't freak out.
He listened patiently a small smile appearing, as the poor guy stammered. He was picking up what he was trying to tell him but let him say it himself. He remembered when Becca was pregnant with Emma, he had felt the same way, so nervous but yet excited as well! He had to be able to say it aloud though, that was important Gid knew, hard as it was.
"Congratulations" he said honestly with a smile. "I'm guessing not expected but welcome all the same?" Err, or possibly not welcome? That was always hard to say. He wasn't aware they had gotten married but who knew maybe they had and he didn't know. He wasn't exactly on top of all the employees with their private lives!
