Too intent on the occasion of Professor Flamsteed's sneeze and the ruined potion that Ben wasn't even aware there was now a ton of people paying attention to him. To both of them actually. He hadn't even registered the first apology his head of house had first given, perhaps before he had registered who had been on the other end of scattered cookies...and dog fur.
No but he was drawn back to the man as he leaned in and whispered while supposedly cleaning. Detailed notes....well sort of...but that wasn't the point. Ben not only didn't have his usual potions partner to help things or at least keep an eye out for trouble, but he had failed in brewing a potion that wasn't anywhere near finished. It had been the EASY portion of the brewing that had gone wrong! With that the case, how was he supposed to deal with the rest?

He certainly wasn't paying attention as Professor Dakest started his portion of the lesson a few minutes later. Instead Benny was trying to decide what best to do, his gaze switching between Flamsteed and Culloden. There was a part of him strongly wanting to try and make a quick escape from the room and just leave it all behind.
No...too cowardly.
Instead he simply cast a silent finite on the burner to turn of the head. No point cooking this potion now and moving on. He'd have to start over from the beginning because there was no telling what damage was already done. He certainly didn't want to poison anyone. With that done, he obeyed Professor Flamsteed, turning his eyes on the defense professor.
But really....could he just curl up and hide? Or turn invisible?
Anybody with and invisibility cloak?
