Post #3 Mod Babysitter | be curious, not judgmental With her raw meat in the bottle and Genevieve finally burrowing in her lap, Sophie watched the others try to liquefy their meat before she made any attempt at doing theirs. So... just incendio to melt it... and aguamenti to follow? THAT would make the meat liquid, instead of just cooking it? Welllllllllllllll... okay.
She was uncertain about this, but it was working for other people, soooo... might as well just give it a go.
Grateful that her unruly griffin was finally seeming to settle down and make itself comfortable in her lap, Sophie held her bottle out to the side and squinted suspiciously at the meat inside her bottle as if it was going to jump out and bite her before casting "Incendio!" inside.
How long was she supposed to wait? She wasn't sure, but she watched the meat and could feel it start to heat up - she didn't want it to cook and become a slab of meet in there, so she cast "Aguamenti!" into her bottle, watching the pure water trickle around the meat and settle inside.
Capping the bottle, Sophie shook it up to mix the meat and the water better, trying to get the meat to liquefy as best as possible and be of a better consistency. All the while, Genevieve watched her with eager eyes, occasionally digging her claws into Sophie's leg as it tried to make an eager lunge for the bottle. "No, Genevieve, y'gotta wait. S'almost done." The griffin didn't understand, and every now and then she would try again to steal the bottle from the Ravenclaw.
Griffins these days. They just had no patience for the art of bottle-making.
