This class was so much fun!! Could they do arts and crafts every lesson? Lux would never object to it because she got to be an artist and colour things in. Colouring was a lot of fun and she loved it.
What to draw first??
Lux was going to start with her and Bay because he was her love. Stick figures were her general go to, but for an illuminated manuscript she would try harder. Plus she wanted to make it look super pretty. Slowly and carefully she got to work. First she drew herself wearing a blue spring dress and then she added Bay so that he was holding her hand. A pretty gold border was drawn to add an even more elegant effect; it was made up of connected leaves because she thought it was fancy.
The next few pages consisted of more leaf borders because they would have writing on them. Turning to the fourth (or was it fifth?) page, Lux decided to draw a mermaid in the top left corner. Obviously this was Ariel, so she was drawn exactly how she looked in the movie. This page border consisted of gold starfish because they lived under the sea and she didn't know how to draw Sebastian.
A few pages followed with more starfish borders. Hmm, looked like she was going to do a lot of writing on her manuscript. Turning to a new page, she started drawing different candies. Food was one of her favourite things, and she loved sweets. Ooh, maybe she could do another page with cucumber sandwiches on it!! |
