He considered himself lucky to be talking to someone who also belongs to his Department.
Mordred shrugged as he placed his hand on the table and began to tap it with his finger. “Why do you think so? I could have been a former Ravenclaw...” the former Snake grinned at this. Of course, once sorted into the Snake House, all the stereotyping would follow shortly after. He knew the Morganzos to be pureblood too, but one of their daughters were in Ravenclaw; Elliot.
The man stared, and continued to observe Hadley. She’s way too calm to belong in the Beast Division...or Beings Division. There’s this aura of mystery around her. And...did she single out the spirits in her last statement? “I suppose you work for the ‘has-beens’?” If so, then interesting...or maybe boring. Obviously, Mordred wanted to know more about her job. “Could you please tell me more about your...job in our Department?”
Ahh he was another dragon dude, Hadley nodded.
"Oh excellent, you're joining a great team. What has your previous experiences with Dragons been like?" she asked, always curious about those who worked with what she would consider dangerous creatures. Well, they were classified XXXXX, but she was sure there were dragon enthusiasts out there would would blame wizards on the fierceness of the dragons. She was glad to see him looking like he was
slightly more comfortable talking.
Hadley smiled, "You could have been but we Ravenclaws aren't as fussed with blood purity." She shrugged, it didn't matter to her what blood status people were, but she did look at the pure blood families with a sense of appreciation for their, perhaps, dedication in continuing with the pure blood line. Though she didn't appreciate the extremists, who may as well go off and become the next Voldemort.
She laughed, the "Has Beens." Well, at least they still sort of
were. She nodded
"Yes I'm one of the Spirit Support Officers." She noted his slight pause during his question, but she got it. She wasn't always doing hands-on work, she didn't work with dragons or werewolves, or even creatures of the caged type. She was more or less a cool, Witchy Social Worker.
"Well at the moment I'm writing a book about communicating with spirits and poltergeists. There was a lot of travel involved, I got to go all around the world and visit some known spirit groups, as well as some haunted places; castles, hospitals, jails, that sort of thing. Basically my job is to help the spirits in any way I can, either to introduce them with other spirits, or help with residency." She paused and took a sip of her water. She smiled
"It's either a lot of travel, field work type thing, gathering research, interviews, observations, that sort of thing, or it's my desk work in writing everything down and editing it." SPOILER!!: Harmony

Yes, she was full of confidence that this was going to be the best year at the ministry ever.
Noting that several of her employees were mingling around the food, the department head decided to join them. They wouldn't mind, she was sure. So with a relaxed smile in place, she headed right over to join the conversation taking place.
"Helloooooo there! Sorry to interrupt. I was hoping I could join you both for a chat as we're all part of the creatures family!" It helped that the files had pictures so even the newest additions were recognized. She was good with faces, Harmony was.
Just as she had finished describing her job to Mordred, Harmony approached them and joined.
"Of course, hi Harmony, how have you been?" Hadley asked her department head. She swivelled her chair a bit so that everyone could be in view without her having to move her neck too much. Harmony appeared to be in quite a happy mood today, not that she was ever anything but friendly.

Man, she couldn't wait till she was married.
She bit her lip and entered the conversation exercise. She was dressed in wool skirt with a cute lacey black top and sensible work pumps, but now she was afraid maybe she overdressed a bit. She had wanted to exude an aura of confidence and sophistication, but now she wondered if maybe she looked like she was trying too hard.
She knew she'd warm up once she introduced herself and stuff but man, it was TOUGH getting over that hurdle.
Smoothing her skirt, she walked up to the group of employees that she heard mention "magical creatures", hoping they were her new co-workers. Sure enough, she recognized the department head, Harmony Skylark, and could only assume from there that everyone else was from Level 4 as well. WHEW. There was one less thing to worry about- finding her co-workers! Smiling and putting on her air of confidence, she walked up to Harmony and cleared her throat.
"Hello, Ms. Skylark? Sorry to interrupt, my name is Addison Longbottom, I'm one of your new employees," she said with a smile, holding out a hand for a shake.
And just after Harmony joined the table, another face approached them. Hadley didn't remember seeing her around the place, and sure enough, she introduced herself to Harmony as one of the new employees. Hadley smiled in her direction, always wanting to welcome faces to the division,
"Hi Addison, I'm Hadley," she said to the new addition, once she and Harmony had had a few moments.
