She knew some would see it as horrible, him cheating and leaving her for Rebecca, but Rebecca saw it as an upgrade, she was better than any other woman. He just finally saw the light. She took a sip of her wine not to let it bother her that she had to deal with that woman still. “Well I haven’t and I’ve seen the best. Australia would never deal with this kind of stuff. They are so much more organized. “ It’s why they were clearly the better league.
She knew what she was doing and her records proved it for years. So if he wanted to laugh and blow her advice and threats off, that was his problem. Though she’d like to make it listen to her in some ways. “So you and Tupper, is it serious?” Not that she cared about Tupper’s relationships, but she couldn’t help but ask about his view on it. Taking a bite of her food she frowned, it wasn’t the best, but she’d have to live with it. Nothing at these muggle places were ever that good, though she had higher expectations for this place. It was good the last time she was here. “Only time will tell, but never worry when you don’t do as well as me. It’s never truly anyone’s fault I’m just hat good as a manager.” She had a gift that she was very confident about. She knew how to manage a team and the Catapults would be on top this year. “It was rather easy, I wouldn’t mind doing more business with you in the future.” She gave a grin as she took another bite of food. Oh, he had touched a nerve, hadn't he? The glare didn't faze him much and Kieran simply gave Rebecca a knowing smile in response to her smirk. "I see," he said simply, not caring all that much about her personal life. All he really knew was that she was now married to Victoria's former husband, though other things were starting to become more apparent about that. Not that he was all that surprised. He took a sip of his wine and thought over her words about Australia. "I've never been there... Might be interesting to go sometime and check it out for myself." Maybe he'd learn a thing or two getting a different perspective. Or maybe she was full of hot air.
He took a bite of his food, glancing up at the question, but taking his time to chew as he thought it over. Kieran thought it was interesting that she'd ask that, wondering if it was more about business or small talk. He wasn't completely sure of the answer himself if he was completely honest, which might be the answer in itself. "I suppose that depends on the perspective." Serious meant different things to different people. "But I tend to like my private life just that way.. private. I'm sure you can relate," he added with the hint of a smirk.
He couldn't help the light chuckle as she let her ego show, though he had to admit she did seem to produce a winning team even if he wasn't sure he agreed with all of her tactics. "I'm sure I could learn a thing or two from you." Not that he thought she was exceptional or better than him, but more in the sense that he was interested in what worked for anybody. "I agree.. I wouldn't mind future business dealings with you as well.." If only all of his negotiations went this smoothly.
