Kara continued her work on the plants as they talked. They really were starting to look much better, and it was making her quite happy. With the plants at least, the conversation had kind of turned to something that made her uncomfortable. She tried to hide it, though she did start playing with the end of her braid. "Oh, I didn't even notice the shed," she admitted sheepishly. "I was just focused on what I was working on, I guess." Plucking a couple of weeds, she nodded. Hard work wasn't foreign to her. "You do a lot of manual labor at home? Do you live on a farm too or something?" Sitting back, she rested on her heels and observed their work so far. It was looking very beautiful, and she was quite pleased with their progress. "Hmmm," she mused. "I think a little bit of fertilizer would be okay." Getting up, she rubbed her hands on her pants to clean them off. "Did they have some in the shed?"
Kace saw Kara was starting to feel uncomfortable with the subject and he understood. He was gonna let it go because some people didn't like being the spotlight in the classroom. I mean there is a lot of pressure on you. If you get called on and you get the answer wrong you feel like a dummy. If you get called on and get the answer right people think you are the nerd and expect to get every other question right. There is no in between. He smiled warmly and knew it was easier. She didn't notice the shed? It was right there! Well hang on there were trees and bushes covering it. He would give her that one. "
Well the trees and bushes disguised it. It is fine." he grinned.
Look at Kara getting right to the point with her question. He chuckled and nodded.
"Yeah I do work on a farm. I work on it with my grandma and parents. I help them mostly with the chores because someone needs to with younger limbs as my parents would say." he laughed. He could even hear their voices when he said the quote. "I also work with the animals too. So I guess manual labor is kind of second nature to me." he shrugged like it wasn't a big deal. He rested too a little bit like she did and looked at their work. Now onto fertilizer.
"Yeah there is, I can help you get some. It looked like a heavy bag." The least he can do.
Now onto his questions.
"Now tell me what kind of lifestyle do you live in? Do you live on a farm too?" he asked curiously.
