Cosgrach looked at her in worry. He didn't rush to the other armchair like he always did either. He wanted to observe her and see how much effect that Dakest had on her. So far, he could see that she was the same old cocky Sophie. He sighed.

Sophie did notice that he stayed put behind his desk, but she just thought he was being lazy and tired and couldn't be bothered with coming over to sit by her. His expression wasn't ideal, though, and she could tell he WAS actually unamused before he even said it.
But then his words confirmed it.
"Why?" Sophie shrugged. "It's not like it's true. They're not spoiling my reputation or anything, 'cause anyone who knows me knows better than to think I'd have even an ounce of darkness in me. And Dakest is too cool to be a Dark wizard. Sure, he's awfully suspicious and seems super on edge sometimes, but I think that's just the Auror in him." She saw that in both her own father and her cousin's wife, Vivi. "Y'don't actually think he could be a Dark wizard, do you?" Is that why he was so unamused?
