Wait, they were going down there? Why? It sounded fun, yes, but she wondered what stumbling down a rocky, brushy terrain had to do with color-changing charms. Trusting that it would make sense when they got down there (and also just wanting to climb down there for the first time), Evangeline went to the edge and slowly began her descent down the rocky slope.
Her feet slipped occasionally, but she was able to catch herself each time. She DID hear Sophie announce that handy charm, but she was being stubborn and independent and ignoring her advice. The other problem was that she was in a SKIRT and the brush stuff was rubbing against her legs and making them itchy and scratching them up. Regardless, Evie trekked on with the rest of the class.
By the time she got to the bottom she was TIRED. Who knew one could be tired from walking down hill? Clearly, Evie was not one to hike. Or exercise at all in general. She tried that with Eden once and she nearly died. Merlin, how in the world were they going to get back UP?! |
