"I'll play. I just need to pick my spot," he said, looking for somewhere he thought would work. Somewhere that wasn't quite where he'd be performing for them, but also a spot where the sound would be ok.

Finally, he settled on a chair and dragged his cello over and began to unpack. "Classical or contemporary?" he asked, as he began paging through his sheet music. He'd been planning on working on the piece for he and Mairwen over the holiday, but that wouldn't sound nearly as nice as a solo.

Setting up, he waited for a response.

Which, in a way, the room kind of felt like that to him, they'd shared many an evening together; movie nights, basketball games, the time he and Rorie had taken a fully clothed bath together, good times and the room had been a happy witness to all of them.

"But, thanks for the compliment, Edey." Damien said, winking playfully at his older friend and sitting on the edge of the pool table, he picked up the eight ball, casually tossing it up and down in his hand, turning his attention to the conversation between the two 'claws.

"How long you been playing, man?" He asked, blue eyes looking over the cello with interest. The boy had sadly no musical talent, but he had a great love and appreciation for all kinds, classical included, and a greater appreciation for musicians. "I've got a soft spot for Erik Satie, but I think it's only fair to let you decide, mi lady." Damien said, his tone overtly gracious as he playfully inclined his head in a small bow.

He didn't really care, not as long as Thornton knew what he was doing, 'cause nothing was worst than a bad cellist.

Eden knew nothing about...cello music...so she just blinked at them both, especially Thornton..."Um..I guess...modern?" she had no idea, okay? She just wanted to relax.

Nestling further into the couch, Eden pulled out her parchment and started it off with just, 'Mam!' to begin with. What did she even want to fill her in on, though? Just general happenings, she supposed. Quill stuff....her....awful meeting with the headmistress. Phoenix hangouts. Cole hangouts. Cutting off...Cutty.

Cutting off Cutty has a nice ring to it.

Though, she wasn't sure she was the one doing the cutting.

"Damien, when I finish this letter, I'm taking you at pool..." she smirked over at him and winked. "I bet I'll kick your little TUSH." She was bluffing. She could not play pool. At. All.
