"Hey Icarus," he greeted, giving the owl a scratch on top of its head before offering him an owl pellet.
He had a letter to send home, but he wasn't yet convinced that he WANTED to send it.
Slipping the letter between his fingers, Zeke took to leaning against the wall, deliberating. To send, or not to send... it was a super hard question. Though, he supposed, he didn't have to send it today. Seeing as she hadn't been able to find Marigold, Maggie had been FORCED to go to the owlery herself. And find an owl. They had school owls right? Or maybe she could just pick one at random. No one would ever know and the private owls probably looked a LOT better than those that everyone could use.
Hmmmmmmmm.
Maggie didn't even notice Zeke at first when she walked in. Her eyes were on the owls, trying to find a pretty one. Hmm. That white one looked like- "...."
She'd turned her head slightly to get a better look at that one owl when she noticed Zeke leaning against the wall. Initially she only gave him an unimpressed look and turned back around without even a 'hello'. In the end she couldn't keep stay quiet, though. "Do you hang out with the owls a lot?" His friends, she assumed. |
