Accepting one end of Hady's can-phone Zeke rose from his seat and took a couple of paces back. With the string tight enough that he could strum it - should he have wanted to... which he was tempted to do, but refrained from.
With his ear pressed into the can, Zeke waited to hear Hady on the other end.
The vibrations that came tickled his ears, and he couldn't help but squint his eyes closed as he held in a chuckle. The words weren't incredibly clear, but they never were with cans, it didn't stop him from understanding Hady's message though, and it had him LAUGHING out loud. "I would hope not," he replied into the can, using it now as a mouthpiece.
Stones? Oh geez noway. She certainly hoped no one would throw stones at her that would seriously hurt! "No, definitely not stones," She agreed with a shake of her head. Ouch. Just the thought of it hurt.
As she spoke she could see what appeared to be Zeke trying not to laugh. And then he was laughing! Had he heard her then? Apparently he had for he pressed the can over his mouth. Seeing this Hady quickly moved her can over her ear to him giggling at the feeling it gave her and his reply.
Moving the can back over her mouth she answered him once more, "Nope. No one else is worthy of paper throwing." This was followed by laughter as she walked back towards him. "Let's try yours now?"
This was really fun and she wouldn't mind at all doing this all lesson. She agreed with him, OF COURSE she agreed with him. Stones were nasty, so nasty, HE had been NICE with the paper. Mmhhmm.
He moved the can from his mouth to his ear once more, all the while not taking his eyes off Hady. Her reply, or what he could make out of it was hilarious. Nobody was worthy of it, except him. HE was the exception, and he liked it. "Yeah, sure," he replied half into the can, and half out loud. Taking his own can-phone device, he gave Hady one end of it, as well as returning her own, and then he returned to his spot, making sure the string was pulled nice and tight.
WHOOOOOPS! They were packing up? Boo... at least he could quickly squeeze in a test of his own. "Can you hear me? Or has my muggle worn off to the point where I might potentially fail this class?" he asked into his can.
