| Astronomy Lesson 1 HW- Post #4 Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna Benny was definitely much more careful this time around. No distractions...no dilly-dalling...no going to the wrong flag. Though the boy supposing since they were supposed to be doing these readings and observation that they would get a better hang of things over time. But alas, future times didn't matter and past times amounted to different meanings. Here he was, 6 hours, 12.5 minutes after his morning survey almost to a t. The seconds was tough since his watch wasn't broken down that far.
But still, he was at his flag at the right time like he had planned, having followed the usual procedure of taking off his shoes and socks and wading into the lake a little, and ready to get a move on. Ben quickly took out the ruler from his pocket and crouched down towards the water. Inch by inch he measured until he was back on shore albeit damp. It got scribbled down into his notes as well as the thoughts he was starting to draw from the changes and times. Quote: Benjamin Atreyu Astronomy Tide Records.
Day 1:
- 9:14am - Flag is approximetly 28 inches from the shore.
- 3:29pm - Flag is now 26.5 inches from the shore.
Day 2:
- 9:15am - Flag is now 27.25 inches from the shore.
- 3:26am - Flag is now roughly 27 inches from the shore.
Conclusion: In the morning, the tide is further up the shore, having come in. And in the afternoon evening, it has pulled away from the shoreline.
