Anyways. It was now Eden's turn. "What color should I do next?" she was splattered with purple...hmm. "Let's do....YELLOW--" they would look NICE together. She grabbed a yellow one and positioned herself. She was going to aim for the next highest one...but it was moving from right to left...
Hm.
That might Eden had to time it just right. She set the balloon on the ground and glanced up. Okay. "Alert Ascendare--" she said softly, so the balloon wouldn't SHOOT up high--and by the time it got halfway up...a few seconds had gone by. Eden tried to...figure out when to send her balloon up so it would actually HIT the target. Hmm.
So she would time it out...perfectly...
--"ALARTE ASCENDARE!" she cried, at the moment she thought was right, and the yellow balloon SHOT up into the air--Eden watched--SHE WAS GONIG TO HIT THE MOVING TARGET---
Until the target plunged out of the way, and her balloon caught just the end of the target, splattering on the target....but mostly.....
Falling on her head.
Well. Clara did not appreciate her hair being ruffled, but with Eden she just couldn't stay mad. "So I do," she said, taking her hair down out of its ponytail and shaking it loose. Now that there was paint in it, having it up seemed pointless. "Yellow works," she agreed, watching Eden step up to the mark.
Again, she tried to watch Eden's technique to see if there was anything she could learn from it. Not too softly, or else it wouldn't reach the target, but not too .... aggressively, or you'd end up coated in paint. Clara tried to hold in her laughter, but as soon as a smirk formed on her lips she cracked. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA." Oh my. Was she tearing up a little? "Congrats," she choked out, because Eden had hit the target, before stepping forward and patting part of Eden's arm that didn't have paint on it. "My turn, sunshine," she said, cracking up again at her own pun.
Sunshine. Yellow. Oh, she was hilarious.
The pressure was on now, though. If she messed up, Eden would be all over it and would never, ever let her live it down. Deep breath. Clara went over to the box of balloons and picked out another green one. Green was her favourite colour, if that wasn't obvious. Cautiously, she stepped up to the mark and, to avoid slipping, cleaned the paint off the floor. "Scourgify." With the floor now hazard free, she turned her attention to the targets looming above her.
Throwing caution to the wind, she decided the odds were in her favour if she just 'aimed and fired'.
The redhead placed the green balloon down and took a step back, before pointing her wand at it. "Alarte ascendare," she said somewhat loudly and watched it soar up towards the targets. To her surprise, it passed the lower targets and kept going. Clara's eyes fixed on the middle target, which was moving from side to side, and held her breath. Would it? Would it hit it? ............. IT HIT ..... and she had just enough sense to lower her head before a sea of green showered down upon her, but she didn't care, because it had worked. Her ridiculous idea worked. She looked at Eden, grinning, and pushed her now-green hair out of her face. |
