SPOILER!!: Huxley & Gary!

Samuel gave the ID a disinterested glance before returning it. It was fine. And the Shopkeeper had more interesting things on his mind than listening to more of their little sappy conversation. Budding friendships and marriages were overrated as a 'tch' noise left his mouth as he reached below the counter again.

Taking another dusty glass out to pour the mulled mead, it dissolved the cobweb that was once at the bottom of it. Now slapping another cracked plate down with the lamb chops. "Four galleons total." That's right, the food was that much better to be worth the price.

The blonde guy smiled at him.

His wife was attending... Oh, so she's a Hogwarts alumna too? "Mind if I ask who is your wife? Was she a Slytherin too?" He asked. Maybe he knew her though it seemed impossible. Gary didn't know much people outside the Slytherin people and some other alumna from other houses like the prefects and captains since he was a Head Boy. The reunion was great. I just met some like... Lafay, Sierra Greingoth, Montmorency, Gunters..." Yeah, Gunters means Oakey and his wife, Ariana. "Odessas, Daichi, just that..." He did hope seeing some certain persons there but clearly, none of them came.

And for the record, Gerald Alexander Rush would never give up photography and travelling for anything except if he's settled down but it wouldn't happen anytime soon. "Nope. I've been working with a muggle photo-traveler magazine since four years ago." Which is great. Come on, getting paid by travelling and taking photos around... it's his dream job. "And congratulations..." He raised his glass. He's not that surprised about finding his old acquaintances of friends getting married while himself... He hadn't thought to settle down, at least for now.

Mordred was never the kind of person who waited for recognition. The disinterested look did not faze him at all. It was shown to prove he’s of age, and that he could drink to his heart’s content. Speaking of drink though, he did NOT miss the dusty glass, and dissolved cobweb now mixed in his drink. The former Slytherin scoffed at what he saw, and procured the right amount of money out of his pocket. Surely, it shouldn’t cost THAT much, given the presentation and dirty and utensils, but since money doesn’t bother him, he did not protest. He could buy the whole pub if he wanted to.

For the record, however, Mordred wanted the shopkeeper to drink the mulled mead for him to make sure that it’s drinkable. He did not push the idea though, given that the shopkeeper WILL drink it, have HIS germs in his drink, and will never replace it even if he waved an extra gallon across the man’s face. Cleaning it with his own magic would be cheaper, therefore, he’d win with the silent sass war going on. Mordred didn’t even bother counting the galleons in his hands, and just placed it on the bar’s surface. “By the way, sir, you missed a spot.” He said pointing at the glasses behind the shopkeeper. Seriously though, was the pub closed for a long time and just opened again? Mordred turned to his drink, and casted a distilling charm on it using his wand that was strategically and discreetly positioned under his sleeve.

Now back to Gary.

“Don’t mention it, old friend. I don’t get to treat a fellow Slytherin all the time.” Gary shouldn’t be offended at all, instead, he should be honoured. Mordred is still aggressively choosy with his acquaintances and friends. He’d rather be alone in a pub and look lonesome, than be with somebody who he thinks doesn’t deserve his attention and time. The next question however brought a genuine grin on his face. “No, she’s a former Badger. Her name’s Sophie.” he said as he turned his plate around and smelled his food. It did smell nice, and hopefully it will taste nice as well.

Mordred nodded along as the names of former Hogwartians were mentioned. All of them, he knew. “How’s Lafay? She’d been a wonderful professor back in the day,” and he learned TONS from his former Head of House. “Sierra I suppose pursued a career in Potions? Montmorency though, I knew he went back to live in the Muggle world.” Mordred knew that Dylan went on to enlist as a soldier back in the US, but, based on the few sources that he’s got, he’s currently dating Selina Skylar. “Oakey, yes. He’s got two kids now I believe.” Odessa though, he knew West, because he’s a Slytherin, but it was quite surprising that Gary didn’t mention the other Terror Twin. “Kingsley didn’t attend? I mean, Theo? Theo Kingsley?” He missed that kid, and Mordred was sure that Theo’s successful now with his chosen career.

Photography related career though? Mordred’s knowledge about the muggle world is very limited, so he wasn’t sure how to react to that one. “Must be exciting then, since you get to travel the world...” he started as he picked up his fork and knife and discreetly cleaned them too with his hidden wand. “I get to travel a lot too, and I’m quite surprised I haven’t bumped into you sooner.” Even if he worked for dragon reserves around the world, he gets to experience the muggle city too. Mordred got lost for a moment when Gary said his congratulations, but then grinned at the former Head Boy as he raised his glass as well. “Thank you, and cheers.” He said as he took a gulp of his cleaned drink. Mordred then gestured towards Gary’s plate, signalling him to get on with his meal. The former Snake then turned to his plate and started to cut up his lamb chops carefully. “I suppose you were that busy to miss my wedding, eh?” If Mordred’s memory was correct, he knew he’d asked Sophie to send an invitation his way too...
