There were already people in the annexe by the time Cutty arrived. Which of course meant accidental targets. Wouldn't Professor Appley-Quig be struck by the mess this was bound to make or would he simply shrug it off as one of the many occupational hazards associated (surely, by now) of a teaching post at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? Detentions all around. He'd seen the man disgusted before.

The best approach was likely to take the ammo and approach the target, aiming manually and firing magically since the spell did not tend to have much direction control on it's own. Cutty withdrew the distempered instrument and approached the box. Pulling out three of the paint balloons he paused to notice that the box looked no less empty for their absence. H'mm...an endless amount of tries, then.


He cut between the two rows until he was beneath the middle row. Somehow he thought they'd be lower. But then, where was the challenge in that. It'd keep him from getting into things that best not be gotten into. Cutty bent down and set the paint balloon in front of him adjusting it slightly with the toe of his shoe. He backed up and played the waiting game whilst marveling at the Professor's motion charm. It was not of the predictable variety with the targets moving diagonally and sideways. What was this spell? He wanted to know it. In the line of a diagonal projection, Cutty moved forward with one large step. He would wait for the target to...

Nope. The target, which had been coming down at a diagonally came so close to the ground that it pierced the paint balloon popping and squirting it quite spectacularly. Cutty watched with glee as inappropriate and terribly cruel ideas filled his head.
