”Yay, I’m glad that you are good.” He got a smile as she took a sweetie from the bowl in front of her. Yes, candy was always amazing. Opening the wrapper slowly as she spoke she nodded looking at Professor Cosgrach.

”I’m great, thank you.” Still smiling wide, she slipped the sweetie into her mouth. She stayed silent for a few moments, taking in the Professor’s office. It was, after all the first time that she had come down to see him outside of class.

”I had a question… if you have time?” She looked over her shoulder at the door, as if expecting someone else to knock since she had asked for his attention. ”I’ve been reading ahead in my text book--” her hands covered the book on her lap, ”-- and I was reading about the forgetfulness potion, and I was wondering if it is considered a semi-dark potion like the one you taught us in last class… ‘Cause doesn’t it wipe memories and things?” The twelve year old frowned. She knew she was missing something - but she didn’t know what exactly…. and so here she was.

Cosgrach liked Marsha, period. He smiled a little and said "I'm glad you're great too." Wasn't the first years always a gem? They were so excited and polite. The way everyone should be.

He let her examine his office, because it was an office to examine. His eyes were absent-mindedly on her as he fought the urge to look in the direction of her gaze, and when she was done, he stood more straight in his chair.

"Of course," he said and waited for the question. He ignored the look at the door for now, because he didn't know why she looked at it, and nodded once in approval when she said she hd been reading. JUST the student he'd want.

Ah, that.

"It's not," he said, "because it's temporary. Emotional potion is temporary too, but it sort of allows the drinker to be manipulated. Forgetfulness just... makes them forget." He shrugged. Obliviate was the dark one about memory, not this potion.
