Charms HW #1 - Post 6 A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for. One more try. The fourth year uttered mentally to herself. After this ONE attempt, she decided that she would be done with the activity. No more was necessary, unless she wanted to stay here all night and use up all the balloons (which seemed, of course, impossible).
Whatever, it wasn't a competition anyway. There was no winning or losing, just a homework activity that probably wouldn't matter in the future anyway.
With that thought in mind, Natalia didn't just 'wing' the rest of the activity. Still determined to hit the target, the Lioness concentrated on the energy flowing in her body and directed it toward her multi-tasking mind, which was focused on aiming and executing movement at the same time. "Alarte Ascendare!" Seeing that the balloon launched with a decent start, Natalia was hopeful that it would reach the target on the top row. Little did she notice that another moving target on the lowest row charged directly to the point where she was aiming. Instead of striking the the target on the top row as she had anticipated, the balloon made a rough contact with the target on the lowest row, splattering blue paint all over the material.
Well, that was that. No more. She was not going to play anymore of this tedious game.
Feeling quite sour for not reaching the level that she had expected, Natalia gathered all her belongings and strolled toward the exit. She didn't even consider the idea of cleaning up her mess (she wasn't even sure if they had to); that cat professor would probably do it with a flick of the wand faster and more efficient than Natalia would have anyway.
