Graduated | <--- Random | Funfetti | Lima Bean | Slytherpuff | PURPLE | Hoarder of pens | ALWAYS Severus Tap, Tap, tap was the only sound you could hear coming from Hannah's table. This was usually second nature to her, but for some reason things weren't clicking. What color would best go with the other? She had so much work to do that she was actually starting to get stressed. That was a feeling that didn't sit with her well. Hannah Lockwood always had her life together, thank you very much. Her mind kept wandering to her perfect little angels that were at home. Iris would look absolutely lovely in lace and soft pink colors. While her handsome Henry would look absolutely dashing in blues and greens. Really her children could pull off any color. They were Lafey's for goodness sakes.
No. She couldn't let her mind wander. She picked this location for one reason, and one reason only. Focus, Lockwood... erm... Lafey. Her drop dead gorgeous husband. Hannah wondered what he was doing at this exact moment. A sigh escaped from her lips. This was no good.
Just as she was about to lean over and dig through her bag, she heard a voice giving her a compliment. A smile that closely resembled a snarl played across her face. "I only do pretty, sweetheart." Yeah, that was about as close to a compliment that you would be getting from this former Slytherin. Did she mean the term of endearment spoken sincerely or was it merely made in a mocking tone? It was hard to tell.
Finally giving the person that spoke to her full attention, Hannah recognized who it was. What were the odds? You just didn't forget people that you poured tea on. "Sophie. You have good eyes..." Yup, she was referring to her liking the fabrics that were splayed across the table. Wait. Was this the first time she actually didn't refer to her as Soapy? It must be the pregnancy brain that still lingered even though her babies were already brought into the world. |
