Clara jumped at the sound of a voice and looked up at the speaker with wide eyes. "Huh?" She spluttered, as her brain tried to catch up. The girl, who looked somewhat familiar, had asked her how she was, but it had definitely taken Clara took long to reply to say that she was fine. "I'm....okay, just.... thinking." Yes, thinking. "Are you okay?" She asked, before realising that the girl probably hadn't asked her if she was okay just to have the same question tossed back at her. Well done, hazy!Clara. 'Huh?' was not a good enough answer so Maggie continued to give the other girl looks. CONCERNED looks. Mhm. Because Clara looked troubled in a way.
Ah yes. Thinking. She'd heard of that. That could be bad for you. Sometimes. So she nodded empathetically and sat down next to the redhead without asking. OF COURSE she wanted Maggie to sit with her. "Is it boy troubles?" It was usually that. Or at least Maggie couldn't think of another reason for a teenage girl to be upset. It was either boy troubles or weight issues.
Sometimes both.
She just nodded in reply to Clara's question. Yes. SHE was okay. But then again she also wasn't sitting around on the floor looking miserable. |
