Slightly confused, she shrugged it off and headed over to him. Maybe she didn't particularly LIKE Ian, but she didn't DISLIKE him either. Besides, his company was better than none and at least he didn't hit on her. He probably came on to everyone else, and she felt happy and special that she seemed to be the exception.
Taking a seat beside him, she noticed how tired he looked. He also kind of smelled??? Nope, she wasn't going to comment on that because she was NICE. "Hey. How have you been?" Because he looked like a train wreck and hopefully he was okay, because the boy hadn't even brushed his hair.
Ian, unable to hear Lux due to the obnoxiously loud volume of his headphones, continued to bob his head and stuff his face without realizing he had company.
