Almost jumping out of his skin, Ethan darted out to the Black Lake, as he suddenly remembered about his pending Astronomy homework. It was already Friday, and luckily, he remembered things just in time. It was already five minutes to 12 noon that day, and he was panting from the sudden sprint as he arrived on the spot where he left his flag from days ago.
His orange flag that bore his name was, thankfully, still stuck to in the dirt, but the base was now covered with water. It wasn’t that high, but the sight was entirely different from days ago.
