"Hi, Mr-'' Uh oh. The man's staircase had halted abruptly causing him to bang his head into his book trolley.
"Oi! Take me to the fourth floor!'' Adi slapped the rail of the stair he was standing on which was still moving... towards the fourth floor, too
Did the staircases usually listen to humans? Whatever. Adi didn't have time to think about that. He got off of the stairs and hurried over to Mr Kitridge.
"Mr. K! Are you alright?'' The bang hadn't been that bad, right?
Blasted staircases! Why couldn’t they just be normal and steady for a change and not move? Rubbing the sore spot that was forming on his forehead where it had connected with the book trolley Leo surveyed the damage. Luckily no books had flown out, so the only thing damaged was him.
Looking up as Adi bounded over to him Leo said still rubbing his forehead with a thumb.
"I'm all right, just knocked my head a bit on the trolley. I'll get a small bump but it's nothing serious." Holding on to the trolley he pulled himself up on his feet. Cassie would tease him about this when he told later that evening.
"So what are you doing here on the staircases Adi aside from coming to my aid?"
