He'd read them out loud, but none of them was affected by old age like a few terms ago (OR WERE THEY?) so he just chose to be lazy.
"Get a sample of the base first to be used later, then for whatever emotion you want, the instructions are on the board. Once you are finished, get two samples - one for me and one for the homework, and vanish the rest of it." Because he didn't want to be questioned for a semi-dark potion, thank you.
"Don't leave, yet. We'll discuss the antidote." In fact... "How might be the antidote for this potion?"
Right, a sample of the base. That would be easy, cause she already had that done, and she'd already made sure to clean the phials and everything. So she caaaaaarefully decanted a little of her base potion into it and labelled it with her name.
Okay, next bit. She looked up at the board to see the next step - she already knew she was going to be using the happiness part, because it was the only one that didn't need anything from an animal so she was okay with that. Also she liked it when people were happy. So now she had to choose a happy memory to laugh at..... hm.
Oh! There was that time Brook had tried to follow them up the tree but he'd fallen in the pond and even though their mum was angry at them for letting him try and climb they just couldn't stop laughing cause he'd come out of the pond covered in pond weeds and dripping wet like some sort of disgruntled four year old pond monster... that even made Rusty giggle out loud as she was thinking about it, so she tried to fully envision the memory in her head, and started laughing - giving a conscious effort to laugh as loud as possible, and added three alihotsy leaves to her potion.
As her laughter calmed down she began to take the samples she needed, and thought about Professor Culloden's question...
"Is the antidote just the same potion with the opposite effect?" she asked, writing her name, house, year and "happiness!" on two little labels and sticking them to her samples.
"But from the same base so that they'd be the same strength cause some people's bases might be stronger than others?" She didn't know if that was true, but she thought maybe her potion wouldn't work well with another person's antidote because they had slightly different ingredients in the base... right?
....
Okay the vanishing the potion thing? She didn't know how to do that. She watched a few of the other students, then picked up her wand and...
"Evanesco." She tried to mimic the wand movement that other people were doing, but she'd never tried this spell before, so she wasn't really sure about it, and nothing happened.
"Um... can someone help me?" She didn't mind asking for help at all, she just didn't want to disturb anyone who was still taking samples.
