Maybe the problem was that she wasn't remembering her memory enough. Maybe if she did that a little more, her spell would get better? It was worth a try. So she closed her eyes again and imagined she was there...

Timber and Jasper were playing some music, it was one of her favourite songs and she could even hear her mum singing along to it... she liked it when her mum sang, even if she wasn't the most wonderful singer in the world, she had a voice that made you feel free. Like a little songbird. Then she imagined she could see Robin feeding crumbs of their cake to one of the bunny friends outside, and Laurel and Peter trying to throw bits of food into each other's mouths, and Lily and Abby dancing to the music. And then she thought about the smells. The smoke from the little bonfire, the warm, sweet smell of plum cake, the fragrant scent of the rose bushes...

She almost didn't want to open her eyes, the memory was such a lovely place to be, and she could almost feel the flickering warmth of the fire on her skin. So she stood in the classroom for a few moments, eyes closed, smiling because of the memory, until she finally decided she was ready to try the spell again.

"Expecto Patronum!!" she said, doing the wand movement and opening her eyes to see a stream of silver mist pour from her wand and make a wall in front of her. It was much more solid than the last time she'd tried, but still no animal....

WAIT... WHAT WAS THAT?? A... flutter? Was it? It was gone before she could make anything out, but she was sure she'd seen something in the mist...
