See, uh, that was ONE compliment he didn't know how to respond to, because he didn't think... he was going to be 'great'. So, instead of saying anything, he focused on HER career options.

BECAUSE she wanted to become an INVENTOR!

He smiled, but honestly, he wasn't surprised. This was the least he expected of her - she was that great in potions.

"This is great choice!" he said and chuckled. Of course he'd say so. "And you're going to be great." One day, he'd brew her recipes. Well, he had brewed her recipe for free potions, but y'know.
