Because he wasn't sure if he was going to cope if so. That..and he'd probably have to get sunglasses or something. Sheesh, white walls were bright. The first year gave Sophie a little nudge back as he found his niche in being here and smiled a little more. "Thanks, Miss."

The eleven year old looked up when the class was beginning and listened as best as he could with his heart almost thumping out of his chest and his head full of theatre songs. He managed to catch the drift of what they were going to be doing, and contained his excitement very well. He didn't want to let people know that he was a professional actor, nor that he had accepted pay in sweets. Luckily, his lucky number didn't have toooo many people in the group, and this little mite gave Miss Sophie Brown a nudge in goodbye and hurried over to join the third line.
Ready and reporting for duty, Sir! Sophie smiled when Rooney seemed to be okay and shook her head. "No, usually it's a standard classroom, with normal walls 'n desks 'n stuff. Today must just be a special day," she shrugged a shoulder, glad the boy seemed to be doing better already, though.
"Welcome," she smiled warmly at him, her attention turning up to the front of the classroom when Botros began to speak. So they WOULD be acting things out, and... hahaha, she knew that story, yes. Personally, she hoped Tobes would get to be the Thor who dressed up like a bride. He'd probably enjoy that a lot, actually, and the mere thought made her smile.
As everyone split into groups, Sophie gave Rooney a little wave as he ran off to join a group, and... before she could even move from her spot upon identifying a group that didn't have three people yet, all the groups were full. And a seventh group was even formed... leaving her standing there without a group.
Welp.
"Uhh... no group here. But I could play, like, the hammer or something," Sophie shrugged with a half-raised hand. With her 5'2", thin and gangly stature, people could totally pick her up. Because really... how many extra groups did they need? She didn't want to just not DO anything, so... she gave Botros eyes that said, PLEASE GIVE ME A ROLE. She'd even play a bird or a horse or something. ANYTHING.
