Ugh. How annoying, the wood ruler she had grabbed from Professor Airey's classroom was warped from some previous water use, probably from this very assignment some other year and was rendered completely useless. She would have to go all the way up to the Astronomy Tower and get another one if she wanted her readings to be remotely accurate. She twisted around to throw the ruler on the bank when she heard her name. Yelled.
"AAAAH" she gave a yell of her own as she slipped and fell with a great splash into the knee high water. "YOU FLIPPIN' SCARED ME EDEN!"

She crawled out, coming to her feet just in front of her dorm mate. "Come to join me? I hope you brought a good ruler. Actually, for that scare you better have brought me a good ruler," she said, gesturing wildly with her useless one. She vaguely wondered if she could have just fixed it with a reparo spell, but what was the fun in that?

"Thanks to you, I don't have to worry about the rain," Tora gave Eden a big grin came towards the other Ravenclaw, arm wide for a hug. Hehe.
