It had taken him a bit to locate his Exploding Snap cards yet again, but he had only really brought those along as part of the tradition that was game night. What he REALLY wanted to play was this one game he had picked up at a muggle hobby shop over the summer. Word game of sorts that came with a handy dandy little contraption he had needed to fiddle with using some charms to make sure it would work in Hogwarts.
Stepping triumphantly into the staff room by means of using his bum to hold open the door because his arms were occupied by entertainment and snacks, he paused in the doorway when he spotted Maddox half asleep.
Or maybe he was already asleep?
"Look alive, Maddox," Airey barked, his lips curving upwards into an amused smirk as he shut the door behind him and strolled over to the table.
