"Da-Kest." Say it with us kid. "Professor D, if you must." Not that it was any less cring-worthy, but it was the lesser of the nickname evils.
Letting it go, figuring that one correction was enough, Sabel listened to the boy's revelation, watching it grow in his eyes. He nodded slightly, a small smile touching his lips. "There are a lot of fields the skills of DADA can be applied to."
He was only starting to understand why Tate had discouraged him from being an Auror. The thought brought a brief frown to his lips, as he absently padded around at his pockets, looking for pen and parchment. When he came up empty handed, he gave the boy a 'hold-that-thought' gesture and disappeared into his office. It was a moment before he returned, passing quill and parchment to Lecium as he took a seat on the edge of the firepit again.
Folding his hands in his lap, he watched the kid scribble notes down. "I would recommend writing to the Ministry, Care of Magical Creatures especially. I've heard they have a Dragon department, and goodness knows they could always use help." He hesitated before rolling one shoulder. "There's also the ITF, International Task Force. You'd work in Tibet, with the Yetis."
Kace chuckled to diffuse the tension and felt soooo embarrassed because he got the new teachers name wrong.
"Sorry Professor Dakest.." he sheepishly grinned. He will remember that calling him Professor D. Aaah there was many fields DADA can be applied to? Interesting but he did love creatures wayy to much. He found them fascinating. When he asked for parchment, he noticed Professor Dakest was getting him some like he requested. He was still sitting on the firepit watching the flames dance. He titled his head and asked,
"Writing to the Ministry? I didn't know you could do that.." he said more to himself out loud.
"There is a Dragon Department?" he asked skeptically. Now come on he must be pulling his leg.
"Nahh I would rather work with Dragons than Yetis in my opinion.." he told him honestly.
