"Yeah, we do the charm, listen for stomach noises, and write it down." Sounded easy enough. Penelope got out parchment and a quill to write down everything. So, who should go first? Apparently she was. Okay, she could do it. This would be weird. What if she couldn't get the charm to work on Eden? Penelope hadn't heard anything that sounded like it was coming from the sixth floor when they did the grave thing, so she wasn't entirely sure if she had done the spell correctly. Either way she would still try her best with Eden.
And now Eden was apologizing for possible future farting. "It's okay." That was sort of the whole point of the activity, listening to stomach sounds and farts.
Penelope pointed her wand at Eden. "Sonorus." Moving a little bit closer to Eden so she could hear better, Penelope listened for stomach noises and jotted a few notes on her parchment. She could hear gurgling noises.
There was food being digested in Eden's stomach. Other than that, Penelope had no idea what the stomach noises meant. "Do you want to try it on me now?"
Eden thought Penelope was really sweet. Wasn't she the mastermind behind the pet rock adoption? Hmm. That was cool.
"All right. Yeah. Sounds good. " Eden opened her notebook and flipped through so she could be allllll ready to write stuff down.
Weirdest Divination class EVER. O_o
(But Eden was enjoying it. Such an enjoyable class!)
Eden suddenly stood very still and tried not to move too much so that Penelope could get some accurate noised and whatnot. It was reaaaaally awkward, especially since Eden did not LIKE her stomach area too much. After Penelope scribbled down some stuff, she stood up straight and took a deeeeep breath. Apparently, she hadn't been breathing properly while the stethoscope was in use. Oops.
"Yeah--I'll go now--" and Eden plugged her ears with the stethoscope and pushed the metal piece against Penelope's tummy. Hmm....She furrowed her brow as she listened to the noises. Interesting...yes...very...just...
It just sounded like a stomach?
"Do you know if we're supposed to determine if we hear words or...?" She had no idea. But she wrote down the noises? Weird WEIRD.
