Indeed, dinner had happened LONG ago... that being said, he'd had numerous snacks since. It was actually a shame that his stash of cauldron cakes were no more. He needed to stock up again. "Mmmm," he murmured, concurring with her statement. Food needed to get in his belly, and NOW. "I think we need another meal between classes, or have midnight snacks delivered to our dorms."
Thankfully his pancake stack was nearing completion.
He managed to tear his eyes away from his masterpiece at the mention of coffee. "You drink coffee?" Since when was that a thing? He hadn't developed much of a liking for it yet, his needed lots of sugar and chocolate or cinnamon sprinkles when he endured one - and usually this was because there was nothing else accessible. He had learned one thing though, that British coffee really wasn't that bad at all, the stuff they had in Prague was far too strong and gritty for his liking.
With food on both their plates, Zeke took a SHORT moment to admire his work before stabbing his fork through the top and slicing off a sliver of the soft fluffy pancakes. He wasn't quite sure what Hady meant by her comment, but she wasn't wrong. It WOULD be VERY thankful. He nodded, chewing the food and moving it about his mouth before swallowing.
YUM.
"Breakfast foods are my favourite type of foods next to cake." Did she know? If not, she did now.
Midnight snacks delivered to the dorms? Now that might be a good idea! Hady thought about that and quickly nodded her agreement. "That would be a good idea, seeing as just the stairs alone here could wear someone out in no time." Especially a first year. Those stairs could be a killer.
Picking up a butter knife and scrapping a bit of butter onto it she lightly spread the butter to her toast before glancing over at him when she felt his eyes on hers. "Uh yes?" She answered in the form of a question wondering if it was such a bad thing. Maybe he just didn't think she was the coffee type or wasn't fond of the stuff himself. "Not like coffee, coffee were it's all strong and you have to pour a half cup of sugar into it just so it's bearable." Hady took a bite of toast then, chewed and swallowed it before continuing. "I mean like iced coffee, cappuccino and frappe's. The sweet stuff with whipped cream and syrup." The stuff that could give you a sugar rush.
Being quite content with nibbling at some bacon for the moment the small break of silence didn't bother her in the least. His comment of cake though drew her attention once more. "Of course I know of your love for cake how could I not? Cake and chocolate, right?" |
