As the second student came into the room she grinned and gave a small wave, “Hello Zeke, having a good day so far?” It was only 11:30 so not much of the day had come just yet. Always time to get better if it hadn’t started off good, but she always hoped it did.

Seeing another familiar face walk into the room, Cassie nodded and smiled, “Good morning Lux, how are you today?” All the students seemed so happy, she hoped it stayed that way.

“Hello Leah” She greeted the Hufflepuff happily, “How was your summer?” She knew they had been a week or so into lessons, but it was always nice to ask.

As more and more studnets walked in some not saying hello, but Cassie didn’t mind, she just smiled at all and spoke to the ones that talked to her. “Hello Norah, how are you today?” Beaming at the fourth year. What a good day for a small feast, yes?

“Noel, good morning.” She beamed at the fifth year. She just loved the first set of lesson and the energy of all the excited students. She wished she could just bottle that up for when students got stressed with exams.

More and more students came into the room and Cassie grinned, “Hello Abby, how are you today?”

“Angel, hello.” Always happy to see the triplets, or at least a couple of them together. “My summer was wonderful, how was yours?”

Seeing Hady come into the room she gave a small wave. “Hello dear, how are you?” It was good to see so many friendly students.

As Zhenya came into the room, Cassie grinned at the seventh year, “Good morning to you.” beaming more as she noticed her new hair, “I did, I just felt like a change this summer and went for it.” How sweet of her to notice.

A student she didn’t recognize, Cassie smiled nicely as he walked into her tower. “Hello and Welcome to Divination. I’m professor Cassie.”

Beaming as she heard another student she glanced at the food, “You are soooo welcome. Enjoy as much as you want.” She wanted them to eat up, it would be important later.

Ooooh another new face, Cassie couldn’t help but snap with excitement over all the students. “Nice to meet you Rusty, I’m Professor Cassie.”

Adi seemed to have a bunch of energy as he entered the classroom. “Good morning Aditya, how are you today? I had a wonderful summer.” She smiled at him as he went towards the food. “You are so welcome.” It was great that they were all enjoying it.

Another student entering the room made Cassie smile, “Well hello Ethan, hope you are doing well. Glad you like it. Hopefully it will be a very interesting lesson.” She was so hoping they would enjoy it.

Seeing Penelope walk into the room she gave a wave to the fourth year. “Hello, hello, how are you?”

As the seventh year Hufflepuff walked in, Cassie gave him a weird look. Teach? That really wasn’t a respectful way to greet someone, but she’d look past it for now. “Hello Kace”

Smiling as Toby came into the room she gave some snaps. “Hello Toby, how are you today. It’s a great day to be happy.” Yes it was, she was teaching, the students were excited, and it was just a beautiful day. She gave a small squeal as he said the names and snapped some more. She had visited them over the summer a bit and Curtis was just to adorbs. She wondered if Toby was kind of a nephew too since Javy called her Aunt Cassie to Curtis. Hmm this could be fun! “Well Bludger will have to come visit soon and I can’t wait to see Curtis again.” She adored babies and kitties!

Seeing Grayson come into the room she looked at her watch. Did he just get up? It was 11:30 she figured there was more classes earlier, but maybe he didn’t have any on a Friday. “Hello Grayson, how are you today?” Almost time to start, yes, it will be fun.

Seeing Eden come into the room Cassie gave her a happy smile, “Hello Eden, how are you today?”

Cinnamon got a smile as well and a wave, “Hello Cinnamon, having a good day so far?” She had just caught up with the sixth year when she visited the office, so no need to ask about summer.

Another new student came into the room and Cassie gave him a smile, “Hello Tyler it’s very nice to meet you. I’m Professor Cassie.”

Cassie couldn’t help but giggle with the comment of the first year, “Well I’m glad too, but you have to be hungry. Eat up”

Giving Hayden a smile she looked towards the corner of the room where her cats were laying in their cat purse sleeping, “Oh I think they are doing well. They’ll probably be moving around later in the room.” She beamed before turning, yes it was time to start.

“Good morning everyone, I know it’s close to lunch time so I hope you are hungry. If you haven’t already please grab a plate, pile it high if you’d like, and eat. I asked you to bring your favorite soda, if you didn’t there are drinks up front.” She hoped they all had something. “For anyone who is new and don’t know me I’m Professor Cassie Morgan. You are welcome to call me Professor Cassie.” She wasn’t her mother so it was fine to use her first name. Now to get down to business, picking up the snap cup she started to pull out the proud moments. “Anyone who doesn’t know the snap cup will soon learn to love it. I feel it’s a great way to start the class on a positive note. As I read everyone’s moments you will snap for the person.” Were they ready? “I'm a third year now.” She snapped for the person’s proud moment, “m proud I have made it to Seventh year without a detention, or losing points.” “I was really proud when I beat my older brother in a tree climbing contest” I ran a pet rock adoption fair with Professor Flamsteed at the start of term feast.” I’m super proud of being sorted into Gryffindor!” She snapped for each until she had read them all.

Leaning against her desk she grabbed a piece of cheese and took a bite, swallowing before speaking. “Divination can be a very complex subject. It has different parts to each form that we use. One part can be fun, light, and good. A reading about a person’s personality or their future. You’ve done in my past lessons ways to find things, know when a visitor is coming, and even how to match a sign, but there is another side to each form a darker side. We will usually only use the lighter side of things, but sometimes I do like to touch the darker side so you can be more aware of it.” She gave them her bubbly grin before getting up. “Before we get into all of that though, I must thank the ones that did read the notice on your house boards and wore comfy clothes. Your robes are just too much for this lesson. So if you did wear your robe, please take it off. Your uniform underneath will do.” She had noticed some had come in school robes, which she was fine with, but it would be easier in the end if they didn’t have them. “Now why don’t we have a little bit of fun before we begin?” She waved her wand and the music turned up just a bit louder. “Feel free to stand up and move around, dance, jump, anything that involves body movement. While you are doing that can anyone tell me anything that all the food and drinks have in common?”

What a happy upbeat tune that had come on, Cassie even bounced to the beat as she watched the students.

So sorry I didn't post earlier like I said I would. A street lamp in front of my house was on fire, so got distracted by fire trucks and neighbors thinking it was my house!

Food and drink? This was Ophelia's kind of class. Okay, maybe this would be the one Divination lesson that didn't completely annoy her or make her want to nod off. No offense to the teacher, or to those who actually enjoyed Divination, but the little blonde didn't have the sight, or whatever you called it. Nope, no way. It just wasn't there. There were some people who had it and others who didn't, and the thirteen year old fell so hard into the second category she bruised herself coming down.

Piling her plate and taking out her soda, the short girl listened respectfully and gave snaps to each other her classmates. This was the one thing she could get behind. It was cool hearing what your classmates were proud of. Especially when it was something exciting, like making it to seventh year without detentions. Kudo's to whoever put that! She was tempted to laugh a bit, as Austin would never get to put that in the snap cup and for some reason she found that amusing. Even thought it totally wasn't.

AHEM.

The darker side of Divination? Was there a darker side? You could find out when someone died, or like maybe read a bad future, but that was really it. What else did this mumbo-jumbo really do, exactly?Getting up slowly from her seat and slipping some food into her mouth, Ophelia felt glad that they got to move around for a little bit. It would keep her from getting sleepy, and maybe the eating while moving would cancel each other out. Was that how digestion worked? Probably not, but whatever.

What did the food and drinks have in common. Peculiar question for a peculiar course. Well, a peculiar question got a strange answer, and this was Ophelia's.

HAND RAISE.

"Food and drink are both delicious and keep us healthy. Without food we wouldn't have the energy to dance or jump around like we're doing now." She stopped for a second to prove her point. "For example, this is the soda I just drank." She bopped up and down. "This is last nights supper." She made tiny punching motions, careful not hit anyone. "And this is what I just ate. "And she hopped with more vigor. Was that correct? Was she close? What did this have to do with Divination?
