Never tickle a green pear?? "I thought it was 'Never tickle a sleeping dragon'?" An expression of mild confusion spread across Natalia's face. "Why never tickle a green pear though?" Never tickle a dragon made perfect sense, whether if it was asleep or not. But why pear?! WHAT WAS WRONG WITH TICKLING A GREEN PEAR.
"Wait seriously though, how do you get through..." Natalia had obviously not paid any attention to the details of the painting. It took her a moment to realize a huge green pear lying in the fruit bowl in that exact portrait, right in front of them. Ha, never tickle a green pear? Too bad.
Natalia tickled it. For giggles.
But what occurred right after took Natalia by surprise.
"Whoaa...a green doorknob!" It was as if Natalia had never seen a doorknob before. She poked it gently first, then twisted it open.
"OH MERLIN IT'S A SECRET CHAMBER!" Wait a minute... it's...NO WAY. THE BLOODY KITCHEN. "Why do they say 'do not tickle a green pear'?! That's ridiculous!"
Leah could almost hear the girl thinking. Bzzz. She smiled at the doubtful look on her face. Not an easy one to trick, Gryffindors were.
"Ohhh, right. Thank you for the reminder," she said, pretending to remember suddenly. Which was partially true because she did forget what the REAL School motto was. Nah, it didn't matter. At the question, she leaned in, looked around even though there was nobody else in the corridor and whispered,
"Baaad things happen if you tickle... the green pear." Hahaha. It was actually the exact opposite. There was a room full of delicious wonder behind the painting.
The Hufflepuff folded her arms over her chest as the other girl began to intepret her words. This one was quite fast. She laughed when the pear giggled because it was just hilarious.
Come on, just turn the doorknob. She thought to herself. She had momentarily forgotten her hunger, but it returned now that she was close to entering the Kitchen.
And she did it!
"Congratulations, you made it to the OTHER Chamber of Secrets, or as we like to call it, the Kitchen." Leah gestured dramatically at the doorway.
"Just for the fun, sweetie. What's your name?" She inquired, dropping the formality.
