As SOON as they were done, they hurried straight to the man's office with a plate full of cookies so they were still fresh and warm, just the way everyone liked them.
And Sophie was very, very elated as she and her dormmate approached the waiting area. Why did it look like they were OUTSIDE? That was... way cool. Merlin. The guy must've been an outdoorsy kind of fellow.
"This is cool. We should hang out here. Mmm," she hummed, looking around at the fire and the water fountain, before having a thought. "I hope this isn't like... put here to lure us into a false sense of security. Y'know? I hope he's not really mean. You should knock. You have a better knock." Sophie's energy tended to be a little overwhelming, and Evie was MUCH cooler than she was, so she would absolutely know the best way to knock. FIRMLY, but not enough to make the guy grumpy, probably.
...What if he didn't like cookies? ..... "Woah." This place was AWESOME. They were inside, but it looked like they were outside and there was a firepit! Her reaction was much more excited than Sophie's, and Evie wandered around the 'patio' a bit before remembering WHY they came over here. Evie curiously peered into the box that said S'MORES and was JUST about to reach in to snag a marshmallow when Sophie told her to knock. "He didn't look mean. When have you even heard me knock before?" Regardless, Evie walked up to the door and gave it a simple, but firm three knocks. Two was too little and four was too many. Three was perfect. Then she waited, hands clasped behind her back. "Think he's got any pets? He strikes me as ferret person." |
