Sophie Brown and Evie Shacklebolt wanted to meet the hot new Auror professor, because really, who didn't? This guy was probably at the top of EVERYONE's list to meet, so the day after the feast, Soph and Evie spent quality time in the kitchens baking cookies for him as a WELCOME TO HOGWARTS and WOW YOU'RE GORGEOUS gift. As SOON as they were done, they hurried straight to the man's office with a plate full of cookies so they were still fresh and warm, just the way everyone liked them.
And Sophie was very, very elated as she and her dormmate approached the waiting area. Why did it look like they were OUTSIDE? That was... way cool. Merlin. The guy must've been an outdoorsy kind of fellow.
"This is cool. We should hang out here. Mmm," she hummed, looking around at the fire and the water fountain, before having a thought. "I hope this isn't like... put here to lure us into a false sense of security. Y'know? I hope he's not really mean. You should knock. You have a better knock." Sophie's energy tended to be a little overwhelming, and Evie was MUCH cooler than she was, so she would absolutely know the best way to knock. FIRMLY, but not enough to make the guy grumpy, probably.
