She wasn’t one to wait for a man for her drink, so she hoped he liked red wines. She wouldn’t get right down to business, but she had it on her mind. Why not have a little fun while she was at it. “So how’s your off season been? I’m hoping you fired the majority of your team.” That’s what she would have done, “Just signed your girlfriend to a three year extension so don’t have any ideas in your head to get her under your management.” He eyed him to make sure he understood. Taking up the menu she only looked for a second, she already knew what she wanted.
[b] “So you need some players and I want your seeker. I think I can whip him into shape and get him playing very well with my team. That and I am tired of dealing with the one I have.” She wasn’t found of her seeker and she knew he didn’t have room to bargain with many. Kieran glanced up and gave the woman the hint of an amused grin. "Rebecca it is, then." He supposed he could understand, many people liked to be called by their first name especially when it was a casual situation. He didn't comment on the waiting bit, not entirely sure if she was joking or genuinely annoyed that he wasn't early. Instead, he took a sip of the glass of wine that was in front of his place setting, assuming it was for him. "Thanks for the insight, you have great taste." He was sure she'd agree with his little bit of flattery. "Off-season.. has been busy." He leaned back a bit in his seat. It often was, especially as the pre-season drew near, but this one was even more so with his restructuring. And he'd figure she'd expect that, she was sure to know of his team's record last season. He laughed a little. "Didn't fire the whole team, no.. but we have some new faces." Couldn't give away all the information just yet. He looked at her curiously a moment, before he realized what she meant, letting out a little chuckle. "Right.. Could be a conflict of interest anyway, we'll let that one go." He gave her a small wink in amusement before turning to the menu.
He was rather in the mood for prime rib and he was pleased to see that it had returned to the menu since the last time he was here, but he looked up as Rebecca spoke, ready to cut to the chase. "You want my seeker." He posed this as more of a statement in return to her words rather than a question as he leaned back and fixed his eyes on her. It was true that he asked her here to negotiate a seeker trade, but he hardly thought it would be that easy. "I think we could talk a trade. I think a change of scenery for both seekers could work well in each of our favors." With the snitch grab record that the Catapults had, it was something they needed in addition to a strong line-up. "Just like that? One seeker for another, or did you have something else in mind?" He was curious to see how this would be played.
