Benzi, his broken mind and black heart told him, was important. And somehow always had been. There was something about him that set him apart from other boys. And it wasn't solely for the fact that Benzi had the unique ability to go along with Cutty's lies. Like that time he told Tora Gallaway that Benzi just didn't have his glasses to make her feel rude, wrong and petty. Good times.
