Imagine her shock to show up at the Gryffindor table for a feast without her friend, only now she knew why and she was almost sure she'd have been happy not knowing.
Did it really matter anymore? She didn't even go to Hogwarts and it'd be a shame to waste a perfectly good meeting on something so trivial because, yes, relationships were still very much trivial matters in her eyes. The young woman simply refused to dwell on negative things when it came to people she considered friends so Lex did the next best thing, she pulled him into a hug. "I don't remember giving you permission to grow up while you were gone." She teased, poking him and grinning after letting him go. "Or get a tattoo before me." Surely there was some sort of rule against that, if not then she would make one right here and now. "What have you been up to, anyway?" Michael had to admit that he was impressed that she had remembered the conversation they'd had so many years ago, especially since he knew that she wasn't all that keen to talk about relationships. Maybe she had changed over the years. "Not just that. They didn't think I was taking my studies seriously." And he hated to admit it, but they had been right. He hadn't taken his studies seriously because he was too busy being distracted by Zahra.
He just hoped that he hadn't wrecked his friendship with Lex because he had been such an idiot. He was thinking of apologising to her again but he didn't get a chance because all of a sudden he was in her arms and he returned her hug, giving her a happy squeeze. "My mother says the same thing." He said with a chuckle as he pulled back from her. He actually towered over his parents. It was a weird feeling. And then he was grinning at the mention of his tattoo and he lifted the sleeve of his t-shirt so that she could get a goo look at it. "Pretty cool huh?"
What had he been up to? Michael shrugged his shoulders. "Spent the last couple of years at Durmstrang, got into fights, duels, dares, you name it." He tossed her a wink. "Spent the last few weeks travelling around on my motorbike with Zahra." You know just the norm.
He folded his arms across his chest and looked her over. "And what career path did Miss Cambridge go into?" He was thinking Cursebreaker.
