The shop wasn't anything how Izaac had been picturing all summer. He had expected colourful, glittery wallpaper, filled with sparks of magic going off in his face, FLYING WANDS, and kids skipping around with utter joy excitement... well, that part was
kinda going on in front of him. He gave an enthusiastic thumbs up to his mum who was peeking through the window at him as he got into the queue. She did one back, grinning even wider than he was!!
Zac tippy-toed to see the flying tape measurer that he had heard soooo much about. It was doing its thing on some other kids, and his eyes were
transfixed on it. Absolutely dazed. It was fantastic.
Stepping forward for his turn, Zac jumped when the tape zipped and whizzed up and down his body. Took a moment of adjusting, but he soon exploded with a fit of laughter. He sure hoped his mum was watching him proudly.
