At the moment however, it was a quiet place to think, and the atmosphere was conducive to trying to solve the riddle of the paper. He had no illusions that he could crack it. Certain liberties would have to be taken to do so, and he was not willing to go that far. In fact, he wasn't sure how far he wanted to go anymore.
So, it was more himself he was attempting to decode, sitting on one of the stools, reading the article over and over and over again. He had sent a message off to the Department Head some time ago,, asking for a word and a moment of his time, but he held no expectations of the man showing up. He was busy. He had things to do.
Words from Evander's letter echoed in his mind, and he absently rubbed his bare ring finger, starting again at the top of the article.
