Apparently Michael had been neglecting his pets. According to his parents and they had told him in no uncertain terms that it was not their responsibility to look after them. He hadn't been planning on coming into DA until the very last minute but since his ferret and jarvey needed food and probably a few other things, well now was a good a time as any to get the rest of his school stuff.

But first he would get would get what he needed for Perseus and Napolean before heading to the rest of the stores. He entered the Menagerie and immediately appreciated the coolness of the store. It seemed that London was having one of its rare hot summers.

He picked an aisle at random and sauntered his way down it, sidestepping a young woman who was staring intently at the bottles on the shelves. Michael was about to continue on down the aisle but something made him stop and he turned to look at the woman with a little more scrutiny.

"Lex?"
