Alexa rolled her eyes at the sass and gestured for her to retrieve her ID. This woman was full of the stuff. Never a moment to stop and realize that that's what got her here in the first place.
Cruddy way to spend a lunch hour too. Desserts gone and all she had in their place was a difficult 'employee', a headache, another room full of annoying people and perhaps a rash. Her allergy to stupidity had begun acting up and she was powerless to do anything but imagine the itch she could not scratch.
Lex had other questions, sure, but she doubted the next could be 'why are you so dumb' because the overzealous crew back in the next room would surely bolt in, hair blazing, wands raised and arguments fired against her way of doing things. Professionalism would get her further--despite this woman not seeming to know how to reciprocate every time she tried. Courtesy and manners were wasted on this lot and it's why she always thought they were better left on the cat. "In the mean time, you can explain to me why you were so edgy and defensive the moment I asked you for ID." Lex must have done it a million times and no one else seemed bothered.
Truly suspicious behaviour whether she realized it or not.
Elizabeth surpressed the urge to roll her eyes at the young employee again. This 'child' was obviously going to play this out for all it was worth. Even when she KNEW that she was rightfully wrong in arresting her. But she again obviously didn't get much for action seeing as she was arresting her for something to stupid.
So very slowly just to anger the woman Beth pulled out her ID

There was her stupid ID.
"I got defensive because you had already assumed from the very begin with your suspicious eyes that I did not belong here!" Beth said thinking back to the young woman accusing her with her eyes from the very beginning. Beth wanted to start shouting that who gave this employee the right to be arresting people anyway. Especially since it was so very clear that she didn't have the AUTHORITY to arrest anyone.
