Giving Torie the side eye curiously, Jay waited his turn and pretended not to be looking. Mum had said to just be good and not fight and she was watching, so he'd let Torie go first. At least then he knew what would happen. He supposed he was going to have to go before Torie at the sorting because of his last name so this sort of made up for it in a way.

When Torie was done, Jay stepped up to the tape and watched as it zoomed around him doing things he didn't understand. He blinked up at the two waiting for him and then stumbled away from the tape as soon as he possibly could. He didn't like things that moved faster than he could keep up with!
