It was Leo's primary cause of concern as he waited for the students to arrive. The first incoming student was one of the prefects for Gryffindor. Flashing the senior a big smile Leo said when the boy approached them. "Good morning Zander. We’re super excited for the week too. It will hopefully be memorable." After Zander he was genuinely happy to see how Sophie Brown made her way over to them. Smiling broadly at her he said "Good morning Sophie, have you got everything packed for a fun week?" Leo couldn’t help but not grin at the girl that was hopping around on the spot in excitement and anticipation for the trip. "Good morning Chole, did you remember to bring along swimwear?" he wondered with a smile pursing his lips. To where they were going there would be definitely be swimming time. Next to turn up on the station was Benny Artreyu. Flashing the boy a wide beam as he approached Leo asked. "Good morning Benny. Are you excited for the trip?" Behind the back of the senior Gryffindor, a much younger Slytherin made his presence known. "Good morning Dante. Have you visited a loch before this trip?" It was good Leo reasoned to know what kind of knowledge the students had going into the trip, and when they eventually got there. Waving to the badger prefect Leo called over with a cheery smile. "Good morning Adi! Are you looking forward to the trip?" The blond girl that positioned herself near her and Javy didn’t go unnoticed. Turning his attention to her Leo said "Good morning Brooklyn. Have you got any experience of sleeping in tents before this field trip?" "Ethan," Leo nodded to the senior snake boy as he joined the growing group on the station platform. There were around 50 students signed up for this trip. Leo hoped that everyone would make it but it was never certain. Grinning back at the girl who he thought was called Norah Leo called over. "Are you excited for the trip? Not scared of bugs and such critters I hope?" Because at a loch there was bound to be some bugs and flies if not mosquitoes. "Good morning Bart." Leo said in greeting to the senior boy. "Did you remember to pack your swimwear and wand?" Two important objects that they probably wouldn't survive the field trip without. It was no telling what might happen so Leo hoped everyone had packed after checklist. "Good morning Heather!" Leo greeted the lioness as she joined them all clad in a nice white and clean shirt. He doubted that the shirt would be white by the end of the week. “Are you ready and excited for the trip?" Leo wasn't sure if he was comfortable being called a fella by a student but he chose to let it glide past. It was just a too good a morning for him to get irritated. Waving to the senior boy he said "Good morning Dexter! Got everything packed for the trip?" Quote:

Right. ”I almost thought you wouldn’t make it,” he smiled over at her, nudging her softy with the elbow of his arm that was currently bein’ looped with hers.
He wanted to inquire about how her summer had been so far, but was cut short by the arrival of some others. He didn’t actually recognize the next two, but gave them a small smile all the same. You know, it was weird how insanely free he felt after having finished up his OWLs. He did recognize the next Gryffindor though, and gave his doormmate a big grin. ”Hiya, Benny!”
You know, stress free Zander was the best Zander.
That much was evident as he keeeeept smiling at all the others, even people he didn’t really know all too well. But he DID make sure to send waves towards Adi and AJ. And then ETHAN Mordaunt came over and he received a big ol’ smile as well. ”Hey Ethan! D’you know if Simon’s coming on the trip?”
And that glitter girl, Norah, came by too. She got a GRIN as well. Merlin, what was going on?! Zander had been SO wrong. He thought he’d never smile again after Fifth Year. But ahem. Dramatics. ”Hi, Marigold.” Yes, even SHE got a goofy grin, no trace of that ahem awkwardness from the incident arising on his cheeks. Thank Merlin.
… Bart. -__________-
Of course HE’D be going on this trip too. PFT. Zander didn’t give him a smile, obviously. Instead he chose to turn to Angel and…. Oof. Things were still… Awkward. Yeah. ”Hi Angel,” he returned her greeting but QUICKLY turned back to see if anyone else— Aegis. Oh Merlin. Aegis AND Bart. What could possibly go wrong? Oh you know… Just EVERYTHING. Ahem. Also, ”hi Puck.”
… What. A. Group. "Uh huh, I am," he answered the librarian. Very excited for this week. It felt nice to be able to hang out with assorted persons without classes and studying which he hadn't done much of during the last term. Zander certainly seemed to be of the same mind. At least seemingly much better than he had been for his own year, especially after everything that had happened.
At least until he spotted certain arrivals. SPOILER!!: Adi and AJ Quote:

At least he wasn't late... right? Nah, it seemed he had made it on time. Adi could see Mr Kitridge and Professor Thompson there with an assortment of students, the first one he paid any particular to was to Margo. "Hello, Mr Kitridge, Professor!'' he called and waved as he headed toward his soon to be second year friend. "Margo!'' There was NO WAY he was going to let her stand there alone. "How's it going?''
Oh, looky! It was a bestie. A grin for you, dude. Also, heeeey, you others! Quote:

She was here, and she wasn't late. That would really suck. Would they be waiting on everybody? Or would the train just leave? It wasn't anything that she would have to worry about though because the party was here. Mmhmm.
Zander and Benny were here. "Sup, guys?" Where was Adi? AJ expected him to be near his bestie. Her eyes scanned over the other students, and landed on her other half. The lion made her way over. "Hey." Hiiiii younger puff girl.
Ah, there was Adi!
The Hufflepuff talking with a younger student across the way. Benny returned his best friend's smile with a subtler one of his own. And then AJ was in turn coming up to him and Zander. "Hey..." he said before shrugging. "Nothing much." The older Gryffindor was about to return the question to his friend when the girl spotted her boyfriend and moved over to him. There would be plenty of time to mingle he supposed.
More and more students were arriving at the meeting place anyway. SPOILER!!: Brooklyn, Bart and Heather Quote:

She could think of a lot of others she’d rather be related to, some of which she imagined would be in Hogsmeade. She could hope, anyway. If anything, she knew Ethan was supposed to be coming. And Grayson, although she still hadn’t quite decided what her thoughts were about the older boy yet.
Either way, she’d Side-Along Apparated with her mother to Hogsmeade from London on the day the trip was supposed to start. Daddy had Quidditch stuff, but she didn’t care. Once she’d extricated herself from her mother, she’d headed for the meeting spot, dressed for the occasion in a tshirt and jeans, her red hair twisted up into a crown braid, everything else inside the backpack adorned with the Iron Throne she had over her shoulders. Unfortunately, Ethan wasn’t there yet, nor was anyone else she really tolerated aside from the adults, and Benny. At least she had that out, if the loch tried to attack them like the swamp had. “Good day, Professor Thompson, Mr. Kitridge,” she said politely, placing herself near them and summarily ignoring Adi and most of the others who had arrived before her. Although she’d acknowledged Dante, just as a fellow Slytherin. Quote:

He hadn't seen much of her since her father wasn't allowing him over, but that was another story that he did not want to think about.
Looking at the group he gave nods to most, "Sup" He nodded towards Sophie, skipping Zander, and then to Benny. Seeing Chloe he made his way toward her to stand and wait. Was Brynny around? Glancing he didn't see her yet either. He hoped Cutty was coming as well. That could make things even more interesting.
Finally seeing the professor and librarian he gave them nods, "Sup Professor, Mr. Kitridge." Quote:

Or was this everyone that was going on the trip?
Benny recognized Brooklyn, the Slytherin girl who had used him as protection from the flood last term. He sent a simple nod her way though she seemed detached from most other than the staffers. Then Bart came around and he returned the other boy's own nod before the girl he had danced with at the ball joined the group. "Hey," he returned her greeting a tad awkwardly. SPOILER!!: Angel Quote:

Angel saw Adi and her sister. "Hey." She smiled, she had a funny feeling she was going to be late because she had left the packing to the last minute but it seemed like she was on time which was good, maybe she shouldn't wait until the last minute in future though.
Angel then saw Benny and Zander with someone else, she decided that she was going to go and stand next to Benny. "Hey Benny," Angel then looked at Zander. "Hey Zander." Angel smiled and then looked at the girl that was with them. "Hey... eh... hey." Angel didn't actually know this person.
But then Angel was there and standing beside him and he found himself relaxing. "Hi Angel," he greeted his girlfriend with a smile. He took advantage of their closeness to discretely take hold of her hand between them. They hadn't managed to get together between the train and today and he'd have to admit he missed her.
