He was so intent, though, on taking note of those standing that he completely missed the fact that Dexter was on the ground.

Dexter had been about to get all indignant at someone blatantly kicking him while he was nestled here in his spot up against the wall. It wasn't exactly the best vantage point for keeping an eye out for his brother, but it was moderately comfy at least. Even if people WERE all about tripping up over you.

Like Cole. Heh. Oops.

"Sup, big brother?" the Hufflepuff grinned, looking, I'm sure he thought, like butter wouldn't melt. "Nice trip?" Snicker.
