~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~ Well, whatever he had done, or tried to do, hadn't worked. In fact, it seemed to have backfired in all directions. Next time, he was going to resort to a simple grab and drag.
At least Skye was now moving, if not without great protest. All of which he hardly cared about. If she didn't think he had connections, she had a lot to learn. And if she thought that demanding in a threatening tone was going to change his mind, she definitely had a lot more to learn. But words, and repeated words, seemed to be fairly lost on the gathered. Perhaps everyone was wearing cotton in their ears? Maybe that's why Rainey's assistant took to shouting.
Needless to say, the woman got an equally icy stare back as he followed Skye's movement out of the room. He wouldn't join his colleagues on telling her that her place was getting coffee, given he was sure her job description was for more than that, but it certainly didn't involve telling him or the other YATI's what to do.
But pointing more fingers would do no good, and he was just as much to blame for the drama that had sprung up. Right now Alexa, the one that had been accused of being irresponsible, was proving to be acting the most responsible of them all. What a joke their department had turned out to look like. And they were all to blame.
Closing the cell door fast behind himself, Sabel followed Skye into the viewing room, only pausing briefly beside her to pass her wand back to her. He wasn't feeling any more fuzzy, but he had no further need, or desire, to keep it from her. And it was when he looked up from handing it over that he realized their little party had grown by one.
Sabel made no effort to hide his irritation at overarching situation, or to curb his frustration, even in the face of their Department Head. While he respected the man and his position over them, he wasn't interested in turning a different cheek just because Rainey was there.
So, despite the nervous chewing in his mind that perhaps he should keep his thoughts to himself, Sabel resigned to asking the same question he would have had the Department Head not showed up. Granted, the man's presence tempered his tone a great deal. "I don't know how well you know that woman, maybe you're friends with her," Sabel moved over to the viewing window and folding his arms, rested his back against the sill, eyeing the two women in the room, "but did you two consider the possibility that the woman might be polyjuiced?" Honest question. If they had, great. If not, why had they been so quick to defend?
