For a moment, Sabel could do nothing but stare at the woman in front of him. And it wasn't anything close to a pleasant stare. Was this what their department had come to? Sure, he remembered being a defiant brat when he was a YATI, but he had also known when to shut up and listen.

These people didn't. And by Merlin, things were out of hand.

"The LOT of you! Shut IT!" It wasn't yet yelling, but it was hardly a demand to be missed.

His tone became as icy as his glare, which found Skye first, given she was right in front of him. "You. You will get your wand back when I am feeling a bit fuzzier. But right now your biggest concern is making it into that next room without so much as a peep." And if she didn't believe there would be consequences if she didn't listen, she was more than welcome to try one more thing. " That is an order."

"As for you two, I would ask that you both sit down and act like adults to resolve this, regardless of who did or said what, or who's pride was stepped on. Sabel gave Alexa an extra long look before turning his eyes to the arrested. He had to force his voice to a more civil tone. "If there has been a misunderstanding, you have my apologies. However, please understand that while our YATIs do not have the full power of arrest, they are still responsible for helping to keep the Ministry safe. Understand that neither myself nor my coworkers, despite their interference, can disregard something one of our trained has perceived as a potential threat." He gave her a look that once again said he was not commenting on if the arrest was right or wrong. " I understand that you are upset, but think this can be resolved without unneccessarily bothering both of our department heads." While the MLE would bear the brunt of the issue, he had no doubt that her department head would be less than happy with the situation either. The last thing, besides hot-headed YATIs, that anyone needed was inter-Ministry war.

"I would kindly ask that you take a few minutes to answer my co-workers questions and we will resolve this as quick as possible. You have my word that I will be available to speak with you about your concerns afterwards, and that everyone involved in this....display...will be spoken with."
