James smiled and leaned back against the tree. "Well then you won't be burned by the small ones at least. My spell work has gotten a little better so hopefully I'll benefit you rather than hinder." He watched her and sighed. "Why would distance be better?" Wasn't like she could still have feelings for him. If that were true she wouldn't have been avoiding him. "Distance does nothing but hurt friendships. Look at us. We used to be inseparable. You missed my birthday this year. What's next we don't see each other for holidays?"

"It does a little. Professor Rodemiere would sound catchy. Think dad would appreciate that?" Thinking about it...no probably not. He wouldn't be an Auror or a Quidditch player. Siiiiiiiigh.
